Bushnell and iGolf have partnered to provide Bushnell Yardage Pro users with the world’s largest, most accurate database of GPS course files available. A free membership on iGolf.com enables you to track your handicap, catch up on golf headlines, and find reviews of your favorite course. A paid membership with a low one-year subscription fee allows you to download and save up to 100 GPS course files annually.
A one-year membership contract with iGolf allows you to download and save any available golf courses onto your computer to use with the Yardage Pro. Since all golf course files are stored on your computer you can easily swap course files on and off the Yardage Pro as needed. The Bushnell Neo is the perfect product for those who desire precise yardages without a lot of hassle. I would rather spend my time focusing on the course, friends and scenery instead of constantly plugging away at my yardage device or trying to aim a laser finder. My Neo cost $85.00 with shipping and I paid $30 for one year/100 course membership. Laser finders are too expensive to merely tell the average golfer (I am a 10 handicap) an exact number to the pin, really. The Neo tells you yardages front/middle/back and could I really make a 3 yard swing change?
Here’s how it works: Hook it up to a computer and download the software (if you have trouble you can call an English speaking tech guy/gal), search for your favorite courses (up to 100 per year), transfer up to 10 of the courses to your Neo (the other 90 courses are yours forever), when you arrive at the course press the power button, select play golf, choose your course with simple up and down buttons, hit OK- that’s it. After you finish the first hole hit the up arrow and hole #2 yardages appear and off you go. It is also water/weather resistant and fits neatly into the drink holder on a golf cart or into your pocket if you happen to shank one into the giggly weeds. My battery lasts an average of 4-18 hole rounds easily and charges quickly.

This is a no frills Golf GPS. However, that is all I wanted. When comparing yardages with my playing partners GPS the yardages were very close. It gives front center and back yardages which is all I needed. It will also give the distance you hit the ball each time if you desire to use this feature. So far the life of the battery has been very very good. I’ve played 4 18 hole rounds with it and it still has 60 precent battery life left.
